📝 Ingredients

For the Chocolate Cake

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • ½ cup milk

  • ¼ cup vegetable oil

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Cheesecake Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ¼ cup Reese’s Pieces, chopped

  • ¼ cup Butterfinger candy bars, crushed

For the Chocolate Ganache

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • ½ cup heavy cream

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.

2. Prepare the Cake Batter

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix until just combined.

3. Bake the Cakes

Divide the batter evenly between the two pans.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

4. Make the Cheesecake Filling

Beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until creamy.
Fold in the chopped Reese’s Pieces and crushed Butterfinger.

5. Assemble the Cake

Place one cooled cake layer on a serving plate. Spread the cheesecake filling on top.
Top with the second cake layer.

6. Prepare the Chocolate Ganache

In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer.
Remove from heat, add chocolate chips, and stir until silky and smooth.

7. Finish with Ganache

Let the ganache cool slightly. Pour over the top of the cake, letting it drip beautifully down the sides.

8. Chill & Serve

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set the ganache.
Slice and enjoy this chocolatey, creamy, candy-loaded masterpiece!
