2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)

Instructions:

Cream the Butter and Sugar:

In a mixing bowl, add the room-temperature butter and powdered sugar.

Beat well with a spoon or whisk until the mixture is light and creamy.

Add Vanilla (Optional):

Add 1 tsp vanilla essence and mix well.

Add Flour:

Gradually add the flour to the butter mixture.

Mix with a spatula or hand until it forms a soft dough.

If the dough feels too dry, add 1–2 tsp of milk (only if needed).

Rest the Dough:

Cover and rest the dough for 15–30 minutes.

Roll and Cut:

Roll out the dough on a flat surface (about ¼ inch thick).

Use cookie cutters to cut into your favorite shapes.

Bake:

Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F).

Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the edges are golden.

Cool:

Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack.

They will become crispier as they cool down.
