✨ Butter Cookies (Spritz Cookies) ✨
Buttery, melt-in-your-mouth cookies that are perfect for tea time or festive treats 💛
📝 Ingredients
• 250 g unsalted butter (softened)
• 1 cup icing sugar
• 1 large egg
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 tbsp milk
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• ½ cup cornflour
• ½ tsp baking powder
• ¼ tsp salt
🌈 For Decoration
• Red & green glacé cherries
• Rainbow sprinkles
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 170°C and line baking trays with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Cream butter and icing sugar until light & fluffy. Add egg + vanilla, mix well, then stir in milk.
3️⃣ In another bowl, combine flour, cornflour, baking powder & salt. Gradually mix into the butter mixture until you get a soft, smooth, pipeable dough.
4️⃣ Fill a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle. Pipe your favorite shapes onto the tray, leaving a little space between each.
5️⃣ Decorate with sprinkles or place a cherry in the center 🍒
6️⃣ Bake until edges are lightly golden. Let them cool completely before serving.
💡 Tip: Don’t overbake—these cookies should stay light in color with just a hint of golden edges!
