Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Chilling Time: 2–3 hours
Total Time: About 3 hours 30 minutes (including chilling)
Servings: 12–15 slices

Ingredients:

  • 400–500 g plain sweet biscuits (like Petit Beurre, Digestive, or Graham crackers)

  • 1 can (395 g) sweetened condensed milk

  • 100 g unsalted butter, softened

  • 2–3 tablespoons cocoa powder (optional, for chocolate version)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

  • Optional add-ins:

    • Chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds)

    • Desiccated coconut

    • Raisins or dried cranberries

    • Crushed chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Biscuits

  • Crush the biscuits into small pieces (not too fine—some texture is nice).
You can do this by placing them in a zip-lock bag and rolling with a rolling pin, or pulsing in a food processor.

2. Make the Binding Mixture

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and sweetened condensed milk. Mix well until smooth.

  • If using cocoa powder, vanilla, or any dry add-ins (like nuts or coconut), add them now and mix.

3. Combine

  • Add the crushed biscuits to the mixture. Stir until all biscuit pieces are evenly coated.

4. Shape the Slice

  • Line a loaf tin or small rectangular tray with baking paper or plastic wrap.

  • Transfer the mixture into the tin and press down firmly and evenly using the back of a spoon or your hands.

5. Chill

  • Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours, or until firm.

6. Slice and Serve

  • Once set, remove from the tin using the paper/plastic overhang.

  • Cut into slices or squares.

  • Optionally, you can dust with powdered sugar, cocoa, or drizzle with melted chocolate before serving.

Tips & Variations:

  • For a chocolate version: Add 2–3 tablespoons of cocoa powder to the condensed milk mixture.

  • For extra richness: Add 2 tablespoons of peanut butter or Nutella.

  • Make it festive: Roll the mixture into small balls and coat in coconut, sprinkles, or crushed nuts for quick energy bites.

  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5–6 days.

  • Gluten-free option: Use gluten-free biscuits.

  • Vegan option: Use vegan biscuits, vegan condensed milk (available in stores or homemade), and coconut oil instead of butter.

Enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee as a quick, sweet treat! ☕🍫
