Ingredients

For the Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp instant yeast

  • ¾ cup warm milk

  • 2 tbsp oil or melted butter

For the Garlic Butter

  • 4 tbsp butter, softened

  • 4 garlic cloves, finely minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander or parsley, chopped

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Optional Topping

  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, grated

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.

Step 2: Knead the Dough

Add warm milk and oil or melted butter. Mix and knead until a soft and smooth dough forms.

Step 3: Let the Dough Rise

Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise for about 1 hour until it doubles in size.

Step 4: Make Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, chopped coriander (or parsley), salt, and black pepper.

Step 5: Shape the Bread

Place the risen dough in a round baking tray or pan. Gently spread it out with your hands to form a thick round bread shape.

Step 6: Add Garlic Butter

Spread the prepared garlic butter evenly over the dough.

Step 7: Add Cheese

Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese evenly on top if using.

Step 8: Cut the Bread

Use a knife to cut the dough into pizza-style wedges, but do not cut all the way through.

Step 9: Bake

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 18–20 minutes until the bread turns golden brown.

Step 10: Serve

Allow the bread to cool slightly, then pull apart the slices and serve warm.
