🍊🍰 Orange Loaf Cake

✨ Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
- ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup (150g) sugar
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- ½ cup (120ml) fresh orange juice
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- ½ cup (120ml) milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
🍯 Optional Orange Glaze
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp fresh orange juice
👩🍳 Instructions
- Preheat oven to 170°C. Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in orange zest and vanilla extract.
- Add dry ingredients in batches, alternating with milk and orange juice. Mix gently until just combined—do not overmix.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
🍊 Optional Glaze
Mix powdered sugar with orange juice until smooth, then drizzle over cooled cake.
