Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)

  • 2 teaspoons yeast

  • 3 tablespoons sugar

  • 1¼ cups warm water or warm milk

  • ¼ cup oil

  • 2 eggs

  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast
In a bowl, mix the warm water (or milk), sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes foamy.

  2. Mix wet ingredients
Add oil and eggs to the yeast mixture and mix well.

  3. Add dry ingredients
Gradually add flour and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.

  1. Knead the dough
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  2. First rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  3. Shape the rolls
Punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions. Shape into balls and place them in a greased baking pan.

  4. Second rise
Cover and let the rolls rise again for 30–40 minutes until puffy.

  1. Bake
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown on top.

  2. Butter finish (optional but recommended 😋)
Brush warm rolls with melted butter for extra softness and flavor.
