🥖 Bread Pocket Recipe
Soft, fluffy, and perfect for stuffing your favorite fillings!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup warm water
- 1 tbsp oil
Instructions:
- Activate the yeast:
In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. - Make the dough:
Add flour, salt, and oil. Knead into a soft, smooth dough. - First rise:
Cover the dough and let it rest for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size. - Shape the pockets:
Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into a medium oval shape (slightly thick). - Second rest:
Let the shaped dough rest for 15–20 minutes. - Cook:
Heat a pan and cook each bread until it puffs up and has light golden spots. - Serve:
