🍰 Classic Marble Cake 🍫
Soft, moist, and beautifully swirled—this timeless treat is perfect with tea or coffee!


🧾 Ingredients

For the cake:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

For the chocolate swirl:

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp hot milk or hot water
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C / 340°F.
  2. Grease and line an 8-inch round or loaf pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, whisk eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Divide the batter evenly into two bowls.

Make the chocolate mix:
7. Combine cocoa powder with hot milk/water (and sugar if using).
8. Stir into one portion of the batter.

Create the marble effect:
9. Spoon vanilla and chocolate batters alternately into the pan.
10. Gently swirl with a skewer or knife (don’t overmix!).

Bake:
11. Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
12. Let it cool before slicing.
