🧾 Ingredients

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour (190 g)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup sugar (150 g)
  • ½ cup vegetable oil (120 ml)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup fresh orange juice (120 ml)
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • ½ cup yogurt or sour cream (120 g)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

🔸 Prep the oven & pan

  1. Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F).
  2. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it for easy removal.

🔸 Mix the dry ingredients
3. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
4. Set aside—this ensures even distribution and a perfect rise.

5. In a large bowl, whisk sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth and slightly pale.
6. Add fresh orange juice, orange zest, yogurt (or sour cream), and vanilla extract.

12. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes.
13. Transfer to a wire rack and allow it to cool completely before slicing.
