Super Soft Vanilla Sponge Cake

Ingredients
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour (about 187 g)
- 1 cup sugar (200 g)
- 4 large eggs (room temperature)
- ½ cup melted butter or oil (120 ml)
- ½ cup warm milk (120 ml)
- 1 tbsp vanilla flavor
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 170°C–175°C and grease a square or round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale, thick, and doubled in size.
- Add melted butter or oil along with vanilla flavor and mix gently.
- Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Pour in the warm milk and carefully fold everything together until the batter becomes smooth and airy.
- Transfer the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 25–35 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before serving.
