🍰✨ Basic Butter Cake
Soft, fluffy, and rich with buttery goodness — a timeless classic perfect for any occasion!


📝 Ingredients

• ½ cup unsalted butter (115g)
• ¾ cup sugar (150g)
• 2 large eggs
• 1 cup all-purpose flour (125g)
• 1 teaspoon baking powder (5g)
• ¼ cup milk (60ml)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5ml)
• ¼ teaspoon salt (1g)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cream the Base

Beat butter and sugar together until light, pale, and fluffy.

2️⃣ Add Eggs & Flavor

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract.

3️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

4️⃣ Combine

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk.
Mix until smooth — ⚠️ do not overmix.

5️⃣ Bake

Pour batter into a greased 6–7 inch round pan.
Bake at 170°C (340°F) for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

6️⃣ Cool

Let the cake cool before removing from the pan.
