🍫🎂 Decadent Chocolate Layer Cake 🎂🍫

Rich, moist, and irresistibly chocolatey—this is the ultimate showstopper cake for any celebration 😍✨

🧁 Ingredients

For the Cake:
• 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
• 2 cups (400g) sugar
• ¾ cup (75g) unsweetened cocoa powder
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1½ tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 large eggs
• 1 cup (240ml) milk
• ½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup (240ml) hot water or hot coffee

🍫 Chocolate Buttercream Filling:
• 1 cup (225g) butter (softened)
• 3½ cups (440g) powdered sugar
• ½ cup (50g) cocoa powder
• ½ cup (120ml) milk or cream
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

🍫 Chocolate Ganache (Drip Topping):
• 1 cup (200g) dark chocolate (chopped)
• ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream

🔥 Instructions

1️⃣ Bake the cake
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line 2–3 cake pans.
Mix all dry ingredients, then add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla.
Stir in hot water/coffee (batter will be thin—that’s normal!)
Bake for 25–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.

2️⃣ Make the buttercream
Beat butter until creamy. Add cocoa and powdered sugar gradually.
Pour in milk and vanilla, then beat until light and fluffy.

3️⃣ Make the ganache
Heat cream until hot (not boiling), then pour over chocolate.
Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth. Cool slightly until pourable.

4️⃣ Assemble the cake
Layer cake → spread buttercream → repeat.
Cover the entire cake with buttercream.
Pour ganache on top and gently guide it to drip down the sides.

Finish with chocolate shavings or chips for that extra indulgence!
