๐ฉ For the Doughnuts
โข 2ยฝ cups all-purpose flour (315g)
โข ยผ cup sugar (50g)
โข 1 teaspoon salt
โข 2ยผ teaspoons instant yeast (7g)
โข ยพ cup warm milk (180ml)
โข 2 tablespoons butter, melted (30g)
โข 1 large egg
โข 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
โข Oil for frying
๐ซ For the Chocolate Glaze
โข 1 cup powdered sugar (120g)
โข ยผ cup cocoa powder (25g)
โข 3โ4 tablespoons milk (45โ60ml)
โข 1 tablespoon melted butter
โข ยฝ teaspoon vanilla extract
๐ฉโ๐ณ Instructions
1๏ธโฃ Make the Dough
Mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a bowl.
Add warm milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix into a soft dough.
Knead for 8โ10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
2๏ธโฃ Shape the Doughnuts
Roll out dough to about ยฝ inch thickness.
Cut into rings using a doughnut cutter (or two round cutters).
Place on a floured tray, cover, and let rise again for 30 minutes.
3๏ธโฃ Fry
Heat oil to 170โ180ยฐC.
Fry doughnuts for 1โ2 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
4๏ธโฃ Make the Chocolate Glaze
Mix powdered sugar and cocoa powder.
Add milk gradually, then butter and vanilla.
Stir until smooth and glossy.
5๏ธโฃ Glaze
Dip slightly cooled doughnuts into the chocolate glaze.
Place on a rack and let the glaze set.
