โ€ข 1 teaspoon salt
โ€ข 2ยผ teaspoons instant yeast (7g)
โ€ข ยพ cup warm milk (180ml)
โ€ข 2 tablespoons butter, melted (30g)
โ€ข 1 large egg
โ€ข 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

โ€ข 1 cup powdered sugar (120g)
โ€ข ยผ cup cocoa powder (25g)
โ€ข 3โ€“4 tablespoons milk (45โ€“60ml)
โ€ข 1 tablespoon melted butter
โ€ข ยฝ teaspoon vanilla extract

1๏ธโƒฃ Make the Dough

Mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a bowl.
Add warm milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix into a soft dough.
Knead for 8โ€“10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

2๏ธโƒฃ Shape the Doughnuts

Roll out dough to about ยฝ inch thickness.
Cut into rings using a doughnut cutter (or two round cutters).
Place on a floured tray, cover, and let rise again for 30 minutes.

Heat oil to 170โ€“180ยฐC.
Fry doughnuts for 1โ€“2 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove and drain on paper towels.

Mix powdered sugar and cocoa powder.
Add milk gradually, then butter and vanilla.
