🍫☕ Chocolate Tiramisu Cake ☕🍫

A rich, moist chocolate cake layered with silky mascarpone cream and infused with coffee — the perfect fusion of chocolate cake and tiramisu!


🧾 Ingredients

🍰 Chocolate Cake
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• ¾ cup cocoa powder
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp salt
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup milk
• ½ cup vegetable oil
• 1 cup hot coffee
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

☕ Coffee Soak
• 1 cup brewed coffee
• 2 tbsp sugar

🤍 Mascarpone Cream
• 1½ cups mascarpone cheese
• 2 cups heavy whipping cream
• ¾ cup powdered sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

✨ Finish
• Cocoa powder (for dusting)
• Chocolate shavings (optional)


👩‍🍳 Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C and grease two cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  4. Stir in the hot coffee — this enhances the chocolate flavor beautifully 🍫
  5. Divide the batter evenly into pans and bake for 30–35 minutes.
    Let the cakes cool completely.
  6. Prepare the coffee soak by mixing brewed coffee with sugar.
  7. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  8. Add mascarpone and vanilla, then mix until smooth and creamy.

🎂 Assembly

  1. Place the first cake layer on your serving plate and brush generously with coffee soak.
  2. Spread a thick layer of mascarpone cream on top.
  3. Add the second cake layer and brush again with coffee soak.
  4. Frost the top and sides with the remaining cream.
  5. Finish with a dusting of cocoa powder and chocolate shavings for that classic tiramisu look ✨
