🍔✨ Soft Potato Burger Buns ✨🍔

Super soft, fluffy, and perfect for homemade burgers 🤍

📝 Ingredients

• 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
• 1 cup (200 g) mashed potatoes
(boiled and mashed without water)
• 2 tbsp (25 g) sugar
• 2 tbsp (30 g) butter, softened
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 tsp instant yeast
• ½ cup (120 ml) warm milk (add more if needed)
• 1 egg (for egg wash)
• 2 tbsp sesame seeds (for topping)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast.
Let it sit for a few minutes until foamy.

2️⃣ In another bowl, combine flour, salt, mashed potatoes, and butter.
Pour in the yeast mixture.

3️⃣ Knead into a soft, slightly sticky dough for about 8–10 minutes.

4️⃣ Cover the dough and let it rise until doubled in size.

5️⃣ Punch down the dough and divide it into 6–8 equal portions.
Shape into smooth balls and place on a lined baking tray.

6️⃣ Cover again and let the buns rise until puffy.

7️⃣ Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds.

8️⃣ Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C / 350°F for 18–20 minutes or until golden brown.

9️⃣ Let cool slightly on a wire rack before slicing.
