🍋 Marble Lemon Oreo Cake
A soft and fluffy cake with swirls of lemon and chocolate, finished with crunchy Oreo pieces — rich, fresh, and full of flavor ✨
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ cup butter or oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- Crushed Oreo biscuits
Method
1. Make the Batter
Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs, milk, vanilla, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Mix until smooth and well combined.
2. Add the Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix gently until smooth.
3. Divide the Batter
Separate the batter evenly into two bowls.
Mix the cocoa powder into one half to create the chocolate batter.
4. Create the Marble Effect
Spoon alternating layers of the lemon batter and chocolate batter into a greased cake pan.
Use a skewer or knife to gently swirl the batters together for a marble effect.
Sprinkle crushed Oreo biscuits over the top.
5. Bake
Bake at 170°C for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Tips
- Don’t over-swirl the batter or the marble effect may disappear.
- Add extra Oreo crumbs on top after baking for more crunch.
- Best served slightly chilled for a richer flavor.
A fun twist of lemon, chocolate, and Oreo in one soft homemade cake 🍋🍫✨
