🍞🍫 Marble Loaf Cake
A soft, buttery loaf with beautiful swirls of vanilla and chocolate—simple, elegant, and perfect with tea or coffee!
📝 Ingredients
🥣 Dry Ingredients
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
🧈 Wet Ingredients
- ½ cup (115g) butter (softened)
- 1 cup (200g) sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup (180ml) milk
🍫 Chocolate Batter
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp milk (extra)
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare Pan & Oven
- Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F)
- Grease and line a loaf pan
2️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt
3️⃣ Cream Butter & Sugar
- Beat butter and sugar until light & fluffy
4️⃣ Add Eggs & Vanilla
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each
- Stir in vanilla extract
5️⃣ Combine Wet & Dry
- Add flour mixture and milk alternately
- Mix until smooth (do not overmix)
6️⃣ Make Chocolate Batter
- Scoop out about 1 cup of batter
- Mix with cocoa powder and extra milk
7️⃣ Layer & Swirl
- Pour vanilla batter into the pan
- Add chocolate batter on top
- Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl
8️⃣ Bake
- Bake for 45–55 minutes
- Toothpick should come out clean
9️⃣ Cool
- Let cool in pan for 10 minutes
- Transfer to a rack to cool completely
