🧾 Ingredients

🥣 Dough

  • 25 g fresh yeast (0.9 oz)
  • 125 ml warm milk (1/2 cup)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp sugar (30 g)
  • 1 tbsp sugar (for starter)
  • 5 g vanilla sugar (1 tsp)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 100 g butter, melted (7 tbsp)
  • 30 ml vegetable oil (2 tbsp)
  • 125 ml milk (1/2 cup)
  • 650 g flour (5 cups)

🍫 Filling

  • 80 g brown sugar (1/3 cup)
  • 30 g cocoa powder (1/4 cup)
  • 10 g cinnamon (1 tbsp)
  • 70–100 g milk chocolate, grated (1/2–3/4 cup)

🤍 Frosting

  • 150 g cream cheese (2/3 cup)
  • 50 ml condensed milk (3 tbsp)
  • 30 ml milk or cream (2 tbsp)

👩‍🍳 Step-by-Step Recipe

1️⃣ Activate the Yeast

In a small bowl, mix:

  • Fresh yeast
  • Warm milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • A little flour

Let sit for 15 minutes until foamy.


2️⃣ Prepare the Dough

In a large bowl, combine:

  • Eggs
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla sugar
  • Salt

Add:

  • Melted butter
  • Vegetable oil
  • Milk

Mix well.

Pour in the activated yeast mixture.


3️⃣ Add Flour & Knead

Gradually add the flour and knead into a soft, smooth dough.

Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours, or until doubled in size ✨


4️⃣ Make the Filling

Mix together:

  • Brown sugar
  • Cocoa powder
  • Cinnamon

Grate the milk chocolate and set aside.


5️⃣ Shape the Rolls

Roll the dough into a large rectangle.

Spread the cinnamon-cocoa mixture evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with grated chocolate 🍫

Roll tightly into a log and cut into 8 equal rolls.


6️⃣ Bake

Place the rolls into a baking tray.

Bake at 180°C (356°F) for about 30 minutes, or until golden brown and fluffy.


7️⃣ Make the Frosting

Mix together:

  • Cream cheese
  • Condensed milk
  • Milk or cream

until smooth and creamy.

Spread over the warm cinnamon rolls and enjoy 🤍
