Super Moist Chocolate Milk Cake

✨ Ingredients
🍰 For the Chocolate Cake
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup cocoa powder
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup hot coffee or hot water
🥛 For the Milk Filling
- 2 cups milk
- 4 tbsp cornflour
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
🍫 For the Chocolate Filling
- 1 cup milk chocolate
- ½ cup heavy cream
✨ For Decoration
- Whipped cream or buttercream
- Chocolate sprinkles or chocolate curls
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Cake
Preheat oven to 170°C and grease two cake pans.
In a large bowl, whisk together:
- flour
- cocoa powder
- sugar
- baking powder
- baking soda
- salt
Add:
- eggs
- milk
- oil
- vanilla extract
Mix until smooth and combined.
Slowly pour in the hot coffee or hot water and stir gently.
(The batter will be thin — that’s perfectly normal!)
2️⃣ Bake
Divide the batter evenly into prepared pans.
Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let the cakes cool completely before layering.
3️⃣ Make the Milk Filling
In a saucepan:
- Mix cornflour and sugar with a little milk until smooth.
- Add the remaining milk.
Cook on low heat while stirring continuously until thick and creamy.
Remove from heat and stir in:
- butter
- vanilla extract
Allow it to cool completely.
4️⃣ Make the Chocolate Filling
Heat the heavy cream until warm (not boiling).
Pour over the milk chocolate and let sit for 1 minute.
Stir until smooth, glossy, and silky.
5️⃣ Assemble the Cake
Slice cakes into layers.
Spread:
🥛 Milk filling on one layer
🍫 Chocolate filling on another
Repeat layers as desired.
Pipe whipped cream around the edges and decorate with:
- chocolate sprinkles
- chocolate curls
Chill slightly before serving for cleaner slices and richer flavor. ❄️🍰
